The hotel is located at the "Rec" neighbourhood from Igualada, an industrial area with numerous textile factories and tanneries, many of them now with other uses. This is the case of the Somiatruites, located in an old tannery. This singular and charming district of Igualada is full of narrow streets and contains industrial buildings from the 19th and 20th century, interior courtyards, facades and the "Rec", a 3 kilometer water channel that crosses the neighbourhood from east to west.
